Torn

Job 1:1 "Job was a man who lived in Uz. He was honest inside and out, a man of his word, who was totally devoted to God and hated evil with a passion." (The Message)

This is my life verse. Last year I had to make a huge decision about what direction to take with something in my life. I was really torn inside, but when I sat down to read His Word, this is the first verse I read. It's like God was telling me, "Ej, the decision you make here isn't nearly as important as how you decide to live your life for me." From that point on, the desire of my heart is to be like Job -- to be a man who is honest inside and out, a man of my word, who is totally devoted to God and hates evil with a passion.

Think about it: Does this description of Job reflect your life? What needs to change?

Action steps: Consider writing this verse down on a couple 3x5 cards and posting it around your house where it will remind you of Job's example.

Extra time in the Word: Job 1 (The Message)
